  •     I haven't seen the book, but to answer the other reviewer - the critter on the cover is an olm, I believe.

  •     This is very deceiving. The animal on the cover is not included on the book itself. If there is less than a star rating...I would've given it.

  •     My grandson loves it!

  •     Bought the book because of the weird creature on the front and to encourage curiosity of beginning readers/first graders. Beautiful photography! Informative text! But what IS that creature on the cover?!? It's not in the book...
