A Treasury of Hans Christian Anderson

Press: Barnes & Noble Inc; 1st edition (August 1, 1993)
Author Name:Andersen, H. C.

All of the beauty and vividness of Anderson's original prose is captured in this faithful, modern translation.
Some of the most famous of his fairy tales are gathered here, among them "the Ugly Duckling", "The Emperor's New Clothes", "the Snow Queen", "The Red Shoes" and "The Little Mermaid".
In Addition, many of Andersen's less familiar, but equally lovely tales are included: "The Old Oak Tree's Last Dream", "The Great Sea Serpent", "The Shadow", and "The Professor and the Flea" to name a few.
If you have never come across these stories, anticipate the enchantment that only a master storyteller can provide.
Andersen's stories are aglow with lyrical and romantic feelings that continue to warm the hearts of young and old alike.
