Content

"Skip! Hop! Zip! Nip!" The sprightly characters from "Halloween Mice!" frolic across a wintry landscape to deliver valentines to all their woodland friends.
Lively rhymed text filled with sounds that are fun to say aloud, and a simple mystery -- what happened to the littlest mouse? -- that is happily solved, make this a perfect book to share with a very young audience.

From Kirkus Reviews

The stars of Halloween Mice! are back, but this time they're celebrating a different holiday.
Four lively mice scamper through a snowy landscape, delivering valentines to all the woodland creatures, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, badgers, beavers, and more.
In their exuberance, the three older mice don't notice right off (although observant readers will) that they've left their young companion behind.
They track him down and rejoice in a Valentine's reunion.
Simple rhythmic text and action-packed line and watercolor illustrations will draw young readers in; Cushman includes welcome details--such as a tag-along chickadee- -that enhance the story, and mixes full-bleed and framed illustrations to emphasize high points in the text.

Cross the pond./Slide, Glide.
Slip! Flip!’ The smallest mouse is temporarily buried in the snow, causing the only anxiety in the story.
Will the others find him: Can they pull him out? Not to worry.
This holiday devoted to love would not be complete without a group hug to make the cold little creature feel better.
The bright watercolor cartoons add to the sense of fun.
The pleased expressions of the creatures receiving the cards are charming.

  •     Great book, but some pretty challenging words for my 5 year old reader.

  •     Don't know what to get the classroom for Valentine's Day? Pre Schools and School Districts across the country are frowning on sweet treats and embracing "healthy" snacks.

  •     This book is really cute, but the pages repeat and come out really crazy on the kindle. This was NOT good for the lesson I was teaching.

  •     This is an easy, easy-to-read book about mice delivering valentines. Only one sentence on each page makes it a pleasant reading experience for the child.

  •     It's a book but not much of one. Cute pictures. But it has words. About mice delivering valentines in the snow.

  •     Bought this fir my grandchild. All the adults read it and loved it...my Grandchild did too! Very cute book!

  •     This is a very basic written Valentine story. Four mice are delivery animals for the other animals all to get Valentines. During their treck to other animals homes they end up loosing the smallest mouse in a snow drift! But they rescue him and he doesn't get a Valentine but a HUGE Valentine hug which is better!

  •     Many of the pages are repeated on the Kindle version of this book. It makes it very hard to read.

  •     I liked the halloween mice story better - this one was a little boring.

  •     I used this story in my 3k classroom to aid in presenting the concept of valentines. The mice go on a cute adventure to pass out valentines to all of their forest friends.

  •     This book was not enjoyed by myself or my four and five year olds. the words were far too simple and the class was very disappointed.

  •     Valentine Mice was just as cute as can be. Purchase for my 3 year old grand daughter. These books aren't just for kids to read; grandma's like to read them too.
