  •     - Two pictures pertaining to represent the LVT2, Alligator are, in actuality, pictures of a DUCKW, which is a wheeled amphibious truck.- The book states that the LVT3, Bushmaster, is a post-WW2 development when it was first used for the invasion of Okinawa.- In spite of its title "Amphibious Vehicles" the book is really about the development of the tracked amphibious tractor and its adoption by the Marine Corps.- Good, informative book for children, however, and I enjoyed reading it. I liked the section directing the reader to other resources, including the internet for further research.
